The insurance policy mandates a 30% damage deposit upon rental, which is typically refunded once the rented vehicle is returned in its original condition. It is advisable to record a video of the entire vehicle at the time of rental to accurately assess its condition upon return. Alternatively, you have the option to pay a 50% damage deposit, which will not be refunded regardless of the vehicle's condition upon its return.

Border crossing

It is strictly prohibited to cross borders with our self drive car hire vehicles. In order to cross into Tanzania or Uganda, special documentation is required. You must have the vehicle's logbook and East Africa insurance, which permits you to verify the vehicle's ownership.
